When processing drinks and food in the food industry or medicines in the pharmaceutical industry, it is essential that no contaminants enter the product. It can still happen that unexpected particles from parts of the machine deteriorate, such as from a rubber seal.

X-ray detection
However, particles of pure rubber are impossible to detect during the control process. Therefore, special rubber materials have been developed to detect these particles by means of X-rays and/or magnetism. The basic materials for this are EPDM, NBR, FKM and silicones. These specially developed materials are well suited for the food industry and meet the requirements of the FDA.
Because X-ray and magnetism detection systems are already used in the food and pharmaceutical industries, there is no need to modify this equipment. Particles as small as 2 millimeters can be found by detection equipment.
