Production
After completion of the detailed design of the sealing solution, we go through a structured realization process, consisting of the following phases:
- Trial production
- First batch production
- Series production
- Stock delivery program
Trial production
In order to get a good idea of the final product at an early stage, a test model is made in the pilot production phase of the detailed design. In the case of elastomers it can be necessary to make test tools for this. After making the samples, these are extensively tested and evaluated to see if all requirements are met. As a result of this evaluation minor points of improvement
are made, the pilot tool is revised, and new samples are produced. In the case of more complex designs, it sometimes happens that several pilot tools have to be made before the samples are approved. After approval, the final product design is released.
First batch production
After releasing the product design, the production of the series tool can be started. These tools are manufactured specifically for one type of material and hardness, achieving maximum accuracy. This also means that other materials and/or hardness’s may require additional, modified series tools. After completion of the serial tool, a “zero series” is first produced. In the case of multiple tools, all products from one shot are checked and functional tests are carried out. After approval of the products from the zero series, the series tool is released for series production.
Series production
After release of the series tools, the production of the series production is scheduled in consultation with the customer, whereby the series/batch quantity is adjusted to the annual requirement.
Stock delivery program
More and more customers do not wish to keep their own stock and require just-in-time delivery. We offer our customers various services including an extensive stock delivery program. In consultation with the customer, the optimal interpretation of deliveries for the range is determined. Our stock delivery programme then ensures that the right products, with the agreed quantities, are delivered on time.
