Quality management
The quality management within Sealution is divided into Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC), in both cases a crucial teamwork of people from different disciplines. The quality of our products and services is central to this, with the aim of always achieving the best possible result in every phase of the development and production process.
Quality assurance (QA)
We achieve quality assurance by building long-term relationships with customers, employees, suppliers and production locations. It goes without saying that every customer is entitled to a high-quality product, but with a well-considered and tailor-made set of ancillary conditions. In this way we always look further, including the right price, packaging, whether or not to keep stock, second sourcing, EDI links, on-demand and/or just-in-time, in order to create a tailor-made applicability and supply chain.
The teamwork is supported by a smart approach (software) and pragmatic approaches (people), which are understood by all disciplines. Our quality process is not rigid, where improvements are possible we adjust the processes. The goals we set ourselves, to make processes smoother, more thorough and simpler, serve ourselves, but more importantly, ultimately our customers.
So we look extensively at quality. In addition to product quality, we also increase the scope of the quality concept and ensure that everyone is united with it within their own discipline. In this way, the objective is shared by everyone and is supported by everyone. This connects us not only with each other, but also with our customers, suppliers and production.
Quality control (QC)
We offer our clients various services, including providing a final inspection tailored to their wishes and/or imposed standard. In our inhouse QC lab we have accurate equipment at our disposal with which dimensions and product properties can be checked meticulously.
Determining the correct material properties is an essential and logical step in the quality control process of almost all seals. Dimensioning is only one important aspect, but also properties such as hardness, density, degree of vulcanization, and the general (chemical) material composition must be in order.
Polymers and plastics have a variety of properties that influence the sealing performance. Understanding the properties of the material is therefore essential to determine whether your product is and will remain suitable, for its intended use, or to help understand and correct a fault.
With our QC analyses, we evaluate the quality of the materials and provide the insight to improve sealing performance and/or durability. If we see opportunities, we will certainly discuss this with our customers.
Our QC department uses proven techniques for material analysis and calibrated, controlled equipment to provide total quality assurance. We carry out routine characterization and data interpretation for various standard products. In addition to dimensional analysis, our analyses include microscopy, surface analysis and thermographic analysis.
The quality inspection of our QC team is the final piece of a series of quality processes that ensures that you can use your products in your application without any hesitation. In this way, we guarantee that our customers only receive products that meet the specifications and quality requirements applicable.
Certifications
The most important pillars for a sound quality system, also in the world of seals, are ISO 9001:2015, TS 16949 and the environmental management system ISO14001. However, depending on the application, there are many specific product certifications and/or standards that are often required to comply with legal requirements. Sealution can help to make the right choice so that these obligations and expectations are met, but at the same time budgets can be respected.
Some of the certifications and material standards which we have at our disposal, among others, and at the disposal of our customers:
NEN- ISO 14241-1 ACS
DIN EN549 KTW
W270 FDA
WRAS
In addition to a carefully controlled production process and the correct selection of materials, sustainable production and the environment are also of great importance. The reduction of hazardous substances in the base materials has been developing strongly in recent years. The basis for this is stated in the RoHS and REACH guidelines. Our customers can be assured that Sealution ensures that delivered products continue to comply with the current guidelines, to the benefit of both human health and the environment.
